《異形戰機》（r-type）本來是一款stg飛行射擊的系列遊戲，曾由irem於1987年推出過大型電玩版。遊戲以無敵輔助武裝force、積蓄能量波動炮、融合有機與機械的敵人、巨大的頭目角色等特色，廣受射擊遊戲愛好者的歡迎。2007年9月份在 psp上推出過一款以戰略模擬為題材的《異形戰機：策略版》。此次續作正是以前作備受好評的策略為基礎，而且本作還有一個很古怪的副標題：“苦澀巧克力行動”。想必續作中又會有各種難題會讓玩家們碰到，想想看，品嘗一個苦澀的巧克力是什麽味道。
